| So pure and simple is the reason for Magnify’s existence – glorifying and praising a gracious and merciful Heavenly Father Who is the strength of our lives and satisfies all our longings. Almost twelve years have passed since this fifty-voice group began practicing in the back room of a warehouse and on Sunday evenings would travel to churches far and wide to share their message of Christ’s redeeming love. They carried with them sound equipment, instruments and risers. They presented Christ with enthusiasm and love through their music; remembering always – they were singing to an audience of ONE. The bookings were often a year in advance. During this time the singers have changed, the venue no longer includes travel and an orchestra has been added. Magnify presently worships every second Sunday of each month with special services added at Easter and Christmas. The concert hall where they now reside is a new, state-of-the- art building replete with the latest technological equipment and staff. Beautiful and comfortable, guests often arrive by church bus or van and advance reservations are accepted for groups. Every concert is taped, mixed and several thousand CD’s are produced to give away. There is never a charge and donations are not accepted. Although quite a story of growth and success with credit given solely and expressly to our awesome God, the message has and shall remain the same…. “Magnify the Lord. Let us exalt His name together. He has done great things. Give Him the highest praise!” It is a strong commitment of “glorifying the Lord and enjoying Him forever” that causes these devoted members to come and practice and give of their time and talents. You can’t miss their hearts for God as displayed on their faces as they worship. “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.” “I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever, I will sing. And with my mouth will I make known His faithfulness to all generations.” |
